Richmond Hill Divorce Lawyers & Family Lawyers

The end of a relationship can create a number of legal difficulties. The length of the relationship or marriage, the financial situation of each party and if there are children involved can all impact how your shared assets are divided.

At Blackburn Lawyers, we aim to reduce the frustrations that can build during this time by applying decades of family law experience to your divorce or separation matter.

We offer legal advice that specifically addresses the unique relationship or family dynamic of clients throughout Richmond Hill and The Greater Toronto Area. We are committed to resolving issues related to:

  • Child support payments
  • Spousal equalization payments
  • Child custody and child access
  • Property division
  • Drafting separation agreements
  • Domestic contracts
  • Mediation and arbitration
  • Collaborative family law
  • Separation
  • Alternative dispute resolution

Legal Services for Uncontested Divorces

Once you have been separated for one year, either spouse can apply to the court for a divorce order. If the only request is for a divorce and your spouse does not respond to the application, it becomes an uncontested divorce and no court appearance is required.
